Subjuntivo en cláusulas adverbiales

Hay dos grupos de conjunciones adverbiales: las conjunciones que siempre requieren el subjuntivo y las conjunciones que requieren el subjuntivo sólo si en el momento de hablar la accion de la claúsula subordinada es anticipada.Se usa el subjuntivo cuando una conjunción introduce una cláusula subordinada que expresa una acción futura que aún no ha tenido lugar. Estas son las conjunciones que requieren el subjuntivo.

en cuanto as soon as

después (de) que after
a pesar de que although
aunque + indicative although

Muchos estudiantes recuerdan estas conjunciones por la palabra ESCAPA. SIEMPRE REQUIEREN EL USO DEL SUBJUNTIVO:

E  En caso (de) que

C  Con tal (de) que
A  Antes (de) que
P  Para que
A  A fin de que
A menos de que

ESCAPA A: Always use the subjunctive. If there is no que use the infinitive.

CAMELoT : Use the subjunctive if the action, condition or event that is expressed in the dependent clause is pending. Use the indicative if the action, condition or event is viewed as habitual, or has been completed.

Recuerda de dejar abierto en una ventana (ó Tab) nueva cada ejercicio, y abrir cada uno de los enlaces de ésta página. En este ejercicio van a practicar el primer grupo de conjuciones que siempre requiere el subjuntivo  y  Subj./Ind. in Adverbial Clauses.

FUTURO

Aqui encontraras los links para las actividades del futuro. Si tienes alguna duda antes de hacer los ejercicios, fíjate en el  PP futuro de verbos regulares parte 1 y para el futuro de verbos irregulares_parte 2. También puedes ver esta entrada con la explicación

Recuerda dejar cada ventana (or Tab) abierta para que los controle al final de la clase.

Luego haz los ejercicios de Gramaclicando que tiene  autocorreción Futuro de verbos irregulares y Futuro de verbos irregulares 2

En este ejercicio de Colby tienes que cambiar del pretérito al futuro, y también tiene autocorreción.

Finalmente escribe un párrafo corto para cada pregunta de este ejercicio y me lo envías por e-mail desde la misma pagina de Colby

_____Find a two websites that explains easily the “conditional” (one of them must be a video) and three images (Pinterest, etc. that show examples of the topic including irregulars.

Understanding

_____Create a short video that explains the “condicional”. Include your own explanation, and at least 5 examples. When do we use it, how do you form it in Spanish? What does it translate in English? Exceptions to the rule?

Application

_____ Make digital photostory with the title “si yo/mi amigo/mi madre fuera… Express your wishes using mi padre/mi madre/ mi mejor amigo/ mi hermano /your choice person, and make 5 sentences about three of these people. (15 sentences total) using a variety of verbs.

Connection

_____ Find ONE song that has examples of the conditional on YouTube and Google. Copy and paste the links for the video and the lyrics.

Reflection

_____ Go the blog of a classmate and find the photostory. Click on “leave comment”, chose one infinitive verb from that list and write two sentences  using the conditional to react to that statement or to  make a polite request: For example, if you visit a blog and  says “si mi amigo fuera a China visitaría Shangai” you will leave a sentence that reads “Podrías traerme unos dulces?”. You will leave 1 sentence to 5 different classmates. You cannot repeat a sentence.

Preparation

_____ Choose an Artist from Latin America or Spain from the list (Google Doc) and do a research online about the life and work of the artist. In your research you will focus on four elements:

1.     Relevant personal life events of the artist.

2.     Time period and type of art the artists was influenced by.

3.     Relevant events in the country of the artist and in the US/world in that period.

4.     Masterpieces and where they are located today.

_____Post the websites that you visited to find the four elements of preparation.

_____Post in your blog six masterpieces painted by this artist.

Understanding

_____ Using the information and notes from ”Preparation” make a voice presentation   (in photo story, iMovie, VoiceThreat, etc) to present the artist in Spanish.

Application

_____ Choose one of the masterpieces of the painter and make a three paragraph description:

1.     Name of the painting and what you see

2.     What research says about the painting

3.     Why did you choose it and how is this connected to your life.

_____ Find ONE painting from an American artist (from the USA) that lived in the same time period of your Hispanic artist, and post the photo of the artist, name, and three paintings.

Reflection

_____ _____ Write an entry in Spanish in your blog about how art makes you feel, why is it important to create art, what art have you created, and how learning about the Hispanic artist impacted your life. (6-8 sentences minimum)

 Preparation

_____ Two articles in Spanish: one about the film, one about the actors/director. Read the articles, post the link on your blog. Then 5 things you learned about the actor or director that caught your attention and 5 about the film.

Understanding

_____Create a short video that summarizes the plot of the movie. Think as if you are telling the movie to someone who could not watch it and they want you to tell them the whole thing. Make it in such a way as if it was a video message for a friend.

 Application

_____ Choose two to three characters and/or plots; make 10 changes to the movie including a new ending and make a Photostory telling this new ending. The goal is for you to use the conditional and past subjunctive. You may want to start with a sentence stating “si esta fuera mi película, Valentín no trabajaría como extra, sino que él trabajaría como un ejecutivo de una compañía de coches

_____ Write an entry in your blog called 6 ACCIONES INTERESANTES DE LA PELICULA. Write in Spanish a list of 6 things that you found interesting in the movie using 6 present phrases (ej. Valentin tiene miedo de saltar a la piscina ).

Connection

_____ Find a movie trailer about another movie from the same director or main actor (in English or Spanish) OR the main song of the movie. Copy and paste the link for the video in your blog. Write three to four sentences in Spanish about how they are connected.

Reflection

_____ Go to the blog of a classmate and find the entry called 6 ACCIONES INTERESANTES DE LA PELICULA. Click on “leave comment”, and write the 6 phrases on the list into sentences in Spanish using the preterit/imperfect. For example if you visit Maria’s blog and the list says “Valentin tiene miedo de saltar en la piscina” you will leave a sentence that reads “Valentin tenía miedo en la piscina en este verano”. You cannot do this if someone else has already done the sentences.

_____Complete it by Thursday,May 1st.
